ATHIRALAN BHAGAVATHI അതിരാളൻ ഭഗവതി / ലവനും കുശനും: ​

തലശ്ശേരി അണ്ടലൂര്‍ കാവില്‍ വണ്ണാന്‍ സമുദായക്കാര്‍ കെട്ടിയാടുന്ന ഭഗവതി തെയ്യമാണ്‌ അതിരാളാന്‍ ഭഗവതി. ശ്രീരാമ പത്നിയായ സീതാ ദേവിയാണ് അതിരാളന്‍ ഭഗവതി. ഈ തെയ്യത്തിന്റെ കൂടെ കാണുന്ന മക്കള്‍ തെയ്യങ്ങള്‍ ലവനും കുശനുമാണെന്നാണ് ഐതിഹ്യം.  അതിരാളൻ കോട്ട വാഴും കുഞ്ഞിക്കന്നിയുടേതാണ്  ഈ തെയ്യം എന്ന് ചരിത്രകാരന്മാർ ചിലർ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. 

ഈ തെയ്യം കെട്ടുന്ന ആള്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും ദൈവത്താര്‍ തെയ്യവും കെട്ടുക.

Athiralan Bhagavathy is the Bhagavathy Theyam which is celebrated by Vannan community in Thalassery Andalur Kavil. Athiralan Bhagavathy is Lord Rama’s wife Sita. Legend has it that the children seen with this Theiyam are Lavan and Kushan.

The person who ties this theiyam will be the same person who will tie the godly theiyam too.
