പാറക്കുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതി 

ഇത് ഭഗവതിയുടെ ഉഗ്രരൂപമാണ്. പാറക്കുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതി തെയ്യം കഥ അനുസരിച്ച്, അവൾ അസുരന്മാരെ  തോൽപ്പിക്കാൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു, പക്ഷേ അവളുടെ അനിയന്ത്രിതമായ ക്രോധം പ്രദേശത്ത് അസ്വസ്ഥത  സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. ഒരു തീവ്ര ഭക്തനും  അവൾ ദർശനം നൽകിയിരുന്നു. അവൾക്ക് ശരിയായ ആരാധനാലയം നൽകുകയും അവളുടെ  ശാന്തതയും  സൗമ്യതയും നിലനിർത്താൻ  വർഷം തോറും ഒരു  തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

എടക്കൽ ശ്രീ വിഷ്ണുമൂർത്തി ദേവസ്ഥാനം ക്ഷേത്രം (നവംബർ 17 മുതൽ നവംബർ 18 വരെ), കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട് തെക്കേ  വെള്ളിക്കോത്ത് ചേരക്കര തറവാട് ദേവസ്ഥാനം ക്ഷേത്രം (ഡിസംബർ 8-ഡിസംബർ 9), കണ്ണൂർ മൊറാഴ പണ്ണേരി  പുതിയ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം (ജനുവരി 219 മുതൽ ജനുവരി 219 വരെ), ജാനുവിലാണ് തെയ്യം കെട്ടിയാടുന്നത്. പനയന്തട്ട തറവാട്  ദേവസ്ഥാനം ക്ഷേത്രം (നവംബർ 21 മുതൽ നവംബർ 22 വരെ), കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട് പടിഞ്ഞാറേക്കര ഉണ്ണാമടം തറവാട്  ദേവസ്ഥാനം ക്ഷേത്രം (നവംബർ 24 മുതൽ നവംബർ 25 വരെ).

Parakulangara Bhagavathy

This is the fierce form of Bhagwati.

According to the Parakulangara Bhagavathy Theyam story, she appeared to defeat the Asuras, but her uncontrollable fury created unrest in the region. She had also given darshan to an ardent devotee. A proper shrine was given to her and a theyam was tied annually to keep her calm and meek.
